The d:vote CORE 4099 for Loud SPL is the perfect mic solution for PA amplification and live recording of acoustic upright bass. It offers a sound that is considerably more natural than an internal microphone or pickup. There are several excellent placement possibilities on the instrument.

The microphone and its mounting system are both designed and optimized for the double bass. This ensures that the best mounting and audio reinforcement is achieved when performing live.

What makes the Pure XLR Mach 2 Preamp sound so good?

The circuit runs on a ?voltage doubler? that provides 18 volts to the internal components even though it uses standard 9 volt input voltage. The result is high-powered clarity that simply cannot be achieved with a regular 9-volt circuit!

PURE CLASSIC PASSIVE PICKUP 4 HEAD

Features:
The Pure Classic is passive system for classic guitar with four pickup heads and an endpin jack. It is a transducer systems only and does not include a battery or on-board electronics. Don’t be fooled by the sound of some competitors’ “”thin sounding”” passive systems–the Pure Systems are definitely different. They sound full and rich and have sufficient output to drive most amps and PA systems directly!
Installing the Pure Classic
The Pure Classic is designed to be installed with superglue for optimum sound transmission. For the players who do not wish to do this we also supply a special extra thin double stick tape for peel-and-stick removable installation. Pickups mounted with this tape require a preamp. The peel-and-stick installation cuts off a little bit at both the low and high end plus the output is reduced by about 30% compared to the superglue installation.

The Double Big Twin is a four-headed double bass transducer developed specifically for jazz bass players. It harmonizes very well with jazz bass because its transmission band includes very high and very low frequencies.

The high frequency translation ensures a clean amplification of the finger attack with the picked bass. The low frequency translation refers to a desired very bassy sound picture.

Each string of the double bass is picked up separately with the Double Big Twin. This results in an extraordinary balance of sound to accommodate even the pizzicato playing mode. Double Big Twin is easily mounted with the supplied double-sided adhesive film and doesn’t require modification of the instrument itself. This adhesive film has been selected carefully because it proved to have excellent qualities for sound transmission. The connection jack is held in a special attachment clamp to be mounted at the A and D strings between string-holder and bridge. We highly recommend one of our K&K preamps for impedance adaptation and pre-amplification.
